Join the AIA Brooklyn CRAN Committee (Custom Residential Architects Network) for their June meeting and networking event, held at the NanaWall showroom in Long Island City.
The meeting will include a presentation by Bo Lee, AIA on a recent Bed Stuy townhouse renovation project. One of the most striking elements is the rear façade, where full-height, accordion-style NanaWall doors were installed. The doors allow the living space to fully open onto the deck, creating a true indoor-outdoor moment that’s rare in townhouses of this type. This transformed the experience of the parlor level—turning what had been a dark, enclosed floor into a light-filled living space that opens directly onto the deck (see photo below).
After the presentation, the group will have the opportunity to head upstairs to tour the Rooftop Farm by Sky Farm.
